The Opportunity
We are seeking a Vice President or Director to join our Mining Investment Banking team in Toronto or Vancouver. The successful candidate will play a key role in originating and executing transactions across the mining and metals sector, including equity and debt financings, M&A advisory, restructurings, and strategic advisory mandates.

This role is ideally suited for:
- A mining engineer or geologist with strong capital markets experience; or
- An experienced investment banker with a demonstrated track record covering mining clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute equity, debt, and M&A transactions within the mining sector
- Build and maintain relationships with mining executives, boards, and institutional investors
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and technical transaction materials
- Oversee due diligence processes across technical, financial, and jurisdictional workstreams
- Mentor Associates and Analysts and contribute to team development
- Support business development and client origination efforts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience (Director level commensurate with experience)
- Background in investment banking with mining coverage or technical mining background (Engineering/Geology) with capital markets experience
- Strong understanding of mining valuation methodologies and project economics
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Proven transaction execution experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary of 125,000- 150,000 with performance-weighted bonus. Total compensation is heavily weighted towards performance-based bonus.
