Roth Capital Partners, LLC is looking to add an Investment Banking Senior Analyst to our Consumer Team. Investment Banking Senior Analysts are an important part of deal teams, work closely with senior-level bankers, and are responsible for assisting in the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions for public and private companies. This in-person role will be in the firm’s Newport Beach, CA office.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Investment Banking Senior Analysts are an important part of deal teams, work closely with senior-level bankers, and are responsible for assisting in the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions for public and private companies. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Search, collect, consolidate, and interpret company and industry data;
- Organize, review and analyze due diligence processes and materials;
- Develop valuation analyses and models (projections, public comparables, precedent M&A transactions, LBO, DCF, etc.), including the use of proprietary financial models and databases to create charts, dashboards and supporting material;
- Prepare comprehensive information packages, pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials;
- Supervise and mentor Analysts in the preparation of client materials, transaction execution, and deal process management
- Support senior bankers as needed; and
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and accounting principles;
- Ability to express ideas effectively and fluently;
- Comfortable with client interaction;
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction under tight deadlines and multiple priorities, while maintaining a keen attention to detail;
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar software applications;
- Fast learner, self-motivated, organized, and willing to work within a flexible, demanding, and fast paced environment; and
- 2+ years of investment banking experience, ideally with exposure to M&A and/or capital markets transactions;
- Outstanding academic credentials with a Bachelor’s Degree in related areas of study including Business, Finance, Economics and/or Accounting.
Compensation Range: 80,000 base + annual discretionary bonus
